Jin-young Ko and Hye-jin Choi entered the race for the championship by narrowing the gap with the leader at the HSBC Women’s World Championship on the LPGA Tour.

In the third round of the tournament held at Sentosa Golf Club Tanjong Course (par 72) in Singapore on the 2nd, Ko Jin-young recorded 8 birdies and 2 bogeys, recording 6 under par 66 strokes.

Ko Jin-young, who hit a total of 6 under par 210 strokes in the interim, rose to a tie for 5th place, 4 strokes behind Ayaka Furue (Japan, 10 under par 206 strokes), who was the sole leader.

Ko Jin-young, who had performed poorly in the first and second rounds with scores of 71 and 73, respectively, rebounded in the third round and laid the foundation for winning this tournament for three consecutive years.

Ko Jin-young, who adjusted her shot sense by reducing 2 strokes until the 10th hole, jumped to the top ranking by selecting 4 birdies in the remaining 8 holes.

Choi Hye-jin also reduced 3 strokes with 4 birdies and 1 bogey in the 3rd round, and tied for 5th place with Ko Jin-young with a total of 6 under par 210 strokes, and will challenge for a come-from-behind victory in the 4th round.

At the top, Korean player Andrea Lee (USA) was tied for 3rd place with a total of 7 under par 209 strokes, signaling a fierce competition for the championship on the last day.
