“Heung-min Son, reborn and deadly” ES Kilpatrick raves about his ‘Nails’ transformation
“Reborn Son Heung-min, a lethal force”.
“Son Heung-min has been reborn at Tottenham as the centerpiece of manager Enzi Postecoglou’s tactics, his instinctive finishing ability forgotten amid the drama and controversy of the Liverpool game,” wrote Dan Kilpatrick in the Evening Standard on Feb. 2. “His switch from winger to striker is one of the more interesting plans.”
Kilpatrick praised Son’s success as a frontline striker, especially his goal-scoring ability, which was on display against Liverpool.
“Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho believed he lacked presence on the ball and that his pace made him more lethal in transition,” said Kilpatrick. “But Postecoglou has transformed him, and in a Tottenham side that seeks high ball possession, his strong forward pressing, ability to read the game, and goal-scoring ability have made him lethal.”
Son started Tottenham’s 2023-2024 Premier League match against Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on Jan. 1 and opened the scoring when he deflected a ball from the flank by Heung-Min Song. Tottenham went on to concede a late goal before securing a dramatic 2-1 victory with an own goal in stoppage time.
With five wins and two draws (17 points), Spurs moved from fourth to second place. It was a hard-fought victory with two Liverpool players sent off.
In particular, Son Heung-min was not at full strength. Before the game, Postecoglou said, “He’s not feeling well after the Arsenal game. We have to wait and see.”
Heung-min also didn’t fully participate in team training. However, he assured the coach that he would “do everything I can” to play.
With this goal, Heung-min reached 200 goals in Europe. He scored 20 goals for Hamburg and 29 for Leverkusen before moving to Tottenham in 2015, where he has scored 151 goals in all competitions (including league, cup, and UEFA Champions League). The most goals in Asia, of course. In 2019, Son surpassed Cha Bum-geun (121 goals) to become the most prolific Asian player in Europe. Every goal is history.
“Given the attacking intent that Tottenham have shown under Postecoglou, Son will continue to get chances every week,” Kilpatrick said, adding that he expects Son to play consistently.
With his goal against Liverpool, Son took his league tally to six goals and is now second in the league behind Man City forward Elling Holland (eight).

It was a 4-4-2 formation, 온라인카지노 with Son lining up in the ‘2’ role alongside Holland.
Tottenham are looking to make a leap to the top of the league with Son Heung-min. They will play their eighth round of the league on July 7 at home against Luther Town.
