Where are Kang So-hwi and Lee So-young’s ‘So So Sisters’? Women’s Volleyball FA Market Opens

18 women’s FAs available for negotiation until 6 p.m. on the 17th.

Korean women’s national volleyball team strikers Kang So-hwi (GS Caltex) and Lee So-young (Cheong Kwan-jang) entered the free agent (FA) market.

On the 4th, the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) released the list of 18 women’s FA players who received FA qualifications.

They can negotiate for 14 days from the date of the list announcement until 6 p.m. on the 17th.

In the V-League, which applies the FA grading system, players with an annual salary of 100 million won or more receive grade A, players with an annual salary of 50 million to less than 100 million won receive grade B, and players with an annual salary of less than 50 million won receive grade C. 파워볼실시간

A club that recruits a Grade A player must give 200% of the previous season’s annual salary and one compensation player other than the six protected players, or 300% of the previous season’s annual salary, to the original team.

Clubs that recruit Grade B and C players only have to pay compensation without compensating players.

Compensation for Class B players is 300% of the previous season’s salary, and for Class C players, it is 150%.

The most notable players are Kang So-hwi and Lee So-young.

They collaborated to achieve a treble (1st place in the regular league, and won the cup competition and championship game) in the 2020-2021 season while working together at GS Caltex.

The two, who were called the ‘Soso Sisters’ after the letters in the middle of their names, broke up when Lee So-young wore the uniform of KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently Jeong Kwan-jang) through FA in 2021.

This is So-young Lee’s third free agent, following 2018 and 2021, and So-hwi Kang’s second free agent, following 2021.

Kang So-hwi took responsibility for the team’s attack this season, ranking 10th overall and 2nd among domestic players with an attack success rate of 39.30%.

He also showed off his presence on defense, ranking 8th in receiving, 9th in digs, and 7th in defense (receives and digs combined and divided by sets played).

Lee So-young began to play in earnest only in the second half of the season due to injury, but showed a strong presence and led Cheong Kwan-jang to the spring volleyball stage for the first time in 7 years.
