2NE1’s YouTube account has been updated for the first time in seven years, upping the expectations of fans for the legendary K-pop girl group’s upcoming reunion concert.

The latest video uploaded to the group’s YouTube channel on Saturday shows member CL performing “The Baddest Female” (2013) and “MTBD” (2014) as a special guest at YG boy band TREASURE’s Reboot final concert in Seoul, which concluded its Asian tour on Thursday.

CL cemented her status as a legendary artist by showcasing her powerful rap and intense performance skills. The audience responded with thunderous cheers and a standing ovation.

YG Entertainment’s founder and chief producer, Yang Hyun-suk, was also seen watching the performance.

The last video uploaded on 2NE1’s YouTube channel was “2NE1 – ‘GOODBYE’ M/V,” released in 2017.

Fans reacted with comments like, “I can’t believe I was there; I almost fainted,” “It feels like CL has come home” and “I want to go to a 2NE1 concert.”

2NE1, consisting of members CL, Gong Min-ji, Park Bom and Sandara Park, distinguished itself in the second-generation K-pop landscape in the 2000s 한국을 with its intense visual concepts and solid vocal skills. The group’s discography was a series of hits, including “I Don’t Care” (2009), “I Am the Best” (2011), “Ugly” (2011) and “COME BACK HOME” (2014).

The iconic group disbanded in 2016 to allow members to pursue individual activities.

2NE1 will hold a solo concert, “2024 2NE1 Concert in Seoul Welcome Back,” on Oct. 5 and 6 at Olympic Park in Seoul to celebrate its 15th debut anniversary. It will be their first solo concert in over 10 years since the “All or Nothing” world tour concert in 2014.

Fans have shown overwhelming responses to the reunion concert, with over 400,000 simultaneously logging on to the booking website for the initial two-show run, and YG Entertainment has added an extra performance. 2NE1 will continue its tour with stops in Osaka and Tokyo.
