South Korea’s Seung-Yeol Noh kept his hopes alive for a top-10 finish at the PGA Tour’s ISCO Championship ($4 million purse).
Noh carded five birdies and one bogey for a 4-under 68 in the third round of the tournament at Kintrace Golf Club (par-72, 7,328 yards) in Nicholasville, Kentucky, USA, on Thursday.
His 13-under-par 203 total puts him in a tie for 28th place.
Noh has been pushed back in the order of finish on the PGA Tour this season and hasn’t played in many events.
In his previous four starts, his best finishes were a tie for 32nd at the Puerto Rico Open in March and the Myrtle Beach Classic in May.
He missed the cut at last week’s John Deere Classic, where he was tied for 60th after the first day, then jumped up a spot to T31st with a six-stroke improvement in the second round.
He is currently three shots off the pace for ninth place (16-under-par 200) and has a shot at a top-10 finish on the final day.
Noh Seung-yul birdied the seventh (par-4) hole in the first round before dropping three strokes in the second.
Kim Sung-hyun (KOR) dropped two strokes and is tied for 51st (10-under 206) with Kim Chan (USA).
Pearson Coody (USA) shaved four strokes off his score on the day to reach 20-under-par 196 and lead the field for all three days.
Coody has three wins on the PGA Tour’s secondary Conferry Tour.
Rico Hoi (Philippines) and Harry Hall (England) are one shot back in a tie for second (19-under 197), while Sam Bairstow (England) shaved 10 strokes off his score on the day to move into a tie for fourth (18-under 198).
The tournament is being contested by the top players who are either resting up ahead of the major championships that begin on Aug. 18 or taking advantage of the opportunity to play in the Genesis Scottish Open in Scotland this week. 파워볼사이트 추천
